When did FGFC820 form? What is the origin behind the band name?
We formed around 2004. Rexx and I had been DJing together before that at an industrial/fetish party here in NYC. Then Rexx asked me to do a remix for his Bruderschaft "Forever" project. After that, we ended up doing a remix for KiEw as Rexx Arkana vs. Dräcos. We worked well together, so after that we decided to create our own project. And as far as the meaning behind the band name...
How many band members are there and what are their stances in the band?
Rexx Arkana is the vocalist and writes the lyrics, and I write and record the music.
<u>What are band practices like? Do you have a set time each week?</u>
We don't practice 99% of the time. We usually don't even decide on a setlist for a show until right before we're actually playing the show. We just kinda feed off of the crowd's reaction and decide which songs to play on the fly.
What has been your biggest challenge as a band?
We can only play a few shows at a time here and there instead of spending weeks on tour because of the limited number of vacation days at our jobs.
If you guys could play at any venue anywhere, where would it be?
I think Kraftwerk in Berlin would be a cool setting for an industrial show. Although SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA has a rusting steel plant as its background which is about as industrial as you can get.
Do you have a Motto for the band? Or a superstition?
We will play at your backyard barbecue if you can correctly guess what our band name means.
