Dj Jak Syn is a special interview. It's a band/Dj interview. We hope you enjoy Is there a meaning behind your Dj name? Its a play on words of my last name, split into two different names. How long have you been spinning? A few years, not super long id say about 5 years. Do you like possums or rats? I'am partial to Opossums, they keep to themselves and they have those little hands. Do you have a go-to set list? What's the first three on it? Not really a go to set but if I had to pick 3 that I love to play Dance with the dead - Robeast Carpenter Brut - Turbo Killer Nightstop - she dances in the dark What kind of music do you spin? Mostly Synthwave/Darkwave is what I love to play, the heavy beats and synth sounds really get my blood going. I do enjoy djing industrial music and the music of the 80s as well.

So we know you DJ, but we heard you're in a band? Tell us about that, what kind of music is it? Yes I'am, Its called JAK SYN, we are A Dark Electronic Music Duo from the Long beach/ Los Angeles Area, its myself Jak - Singer/Programmer and Evie Strange - Synthesizers/Keyboards We draw inspiration from different areas of the electronic and Industrial Genres, for fans of bands such as Skinny Puppy, Ministry, NIN, Deadsy, Innerpartysystem. We have had the pleasure of working with legendary acts in the alternative and industrial scene such as My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, HOCICO and Tragic Black to name a few. We are looking forward to plenty of new events in 2018 as well as a new album on the horizon.

Morticia: I know a few people that are super inspired by your music. I've seen you, and I love it! Can't wait to see the new album! And your next shows.

The next two JakSyn shows are these; Neo LA in Noho (North Hollywood, ca) on 04/26/18 and Das bunker (in Los Angeles, Ca) with JakSyn and Hocico on 05/24/18

Some people are really interested in your art! Mind telling us a little bit about that? I do enjoy doing illustrations in my free time, designing logos, flyers and promotional art for us, other artists and bands, Including media editing for our music, events and clubs. It really helps to be hands on in that area because as a musician in this day it goes hand in hand, it really gives it all a personal touch. People want to know; what do you love about djing? Is it being able to get people to dance? Or watching your superhuman Dj skills? Or did you make a deal with a wizard? I love being able to get people up and on the floor, if i can get people to dance anymore I d have a great time then Ive succeeded, its about the audience and the crowd giving them a great experience from beginning to end. Last question; we'll sort of. Leave us with a quote: If every door to success shuts in your face build your own door. You can find Dj Jak Syn on VF jaksynmusic Links:
